The Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI) welcomes you to join us for our upcoming event: "Come By Here" - Caravan for Black Migrants. Given the current administration's exclusionary stance on incoming migrants and their particular targeting of Black migrants, we must continue being loud against rampant anti-Black and anti-immigrant rhetoric and policies! Immigrants are welcome here! On Saturday, July 31st, our journey will begin at 8am in the Crenshaw Mall parking lot (by IHOP), near Leimert Park - warmly known to many as Africa Town, where we’ll enjoy music and refreshments for the soul. We’ll then begin our trek to arrive at the Downtown Los Angeles Metropolitan Detention Center where we’ll hear powerful messages from speakers before finishing the final leg of the caravan and rally at the San Diego Otay Mesa Detention Center.
