Damon J. Shearer Scholarship - Deadline 5/1/2022

The San Diego Black LGBTQ Coalition strives to be a haven for the Black LGBTQ community. Made possible this year by the Community Enhancement Grant from District 1 & District 4, the Damon J. Shearer Scholarship Fund provides financial support to members of the Black LGBTQ community who are enrolled in college and is named after the Coalition’s first official President, Damon J. Shearer. Black LGBTQ community members in San Diego can apply if enrolled in a community college, university, trade school or any other education institution designed to help foster skills to be independent and live your own dream.

The deadline is fast approaching as applications are due May 1, so apply today. The top four selected winners will receive a $5,000 scholarship.
